Town of Kyrenia based on the coast has many historical buildings and sights that tourists enjoy taking in. The town itself has been under Turkish control since their invasion in 1974. There is a strong link between Greek and Turkish cultures as the two countries have played their part in the history of northern Cyprus.
You will need to take your camera with on your trip to northern Cyprus to capture on film the great structures on offer including the Kyrenia castle which is located at the east end of the harbour.

Inside the castle there is a twelfth century chapel and a shipwreck museum. The Bellapais Abby, located in the village of Bellapais, was constructed during the years 119-1205 and is surrounded by beautiful green flora.
